Alkyona Quartet

Alkyona String Quartet – Sunday 8th November 2020

Penninghame St Johns, Newton Stewart  – 7:30pm

ALKYONA QUARTET

Emma Purslow, violin

Charlotte Saluste-Bridoux, violin

Henrietta Hill, viola

Jobine Siekman, cello

Formed in the bustle of London in 2018, the Alkyona Quartet present fresh imaginative interpretations of both well-known and hidden gems of the string quartet repertoire.

The quartet also revels in finding and championing scintillating but overlooked works. They love collaborations across the Arts and are often found presenting both string quartet and collaborative works in more unusual presentations.

The four Alkyonas met in 2018 in the bustle of London. Each member brings something different to this vibrant quartet. So a bit about us. When not music-making: Emma can be found making her own fabulous clothes, Henrietta had a past life in paleontology, Jobine just climbed up to one of Mount Everest’s base camps and Charlotte is completely mad about her beautiful kitten.

If you’ve read this far – thank you for following and supporting us as we embark on this string quartet journey. Read more about the quartet below, and don’t forget you can follow us on youtube, facebook and instagram. But more importantly, we’d love to see you at one of our upcoming events. Do come and say hello afterwards! We love meeting our audiences and talking music!
